Between 1914 to 1918 World War 1 took place. It started when Archduke Franz Ferdinand got assassinated by Grovil Princip. Throughout that time many soldiers are killed. A lot of soldiers were form New Zealand. Greenmeadows Intermediate School have been commemorating the soldiers who fought and died for our country. This year was the 100th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign. On the first day of Term 2 we started the day of with an assembly. We had speeches, poems and sang songs. Mr Valivaka said a karakia. It was a touching experience.LEST WE FORGET
