We read a journal report about 'Harnessing The Wind's Energy'. Instead of using wind power, we made use of hydro power and created a working watermill. Our watermill uses a gear to spin a shaft, which
powered a crank shaft and piston to drive the crushing shaft up and down, which eventually lead to the wheat being crushed.

We wanted to be different and create a contraption, which can lift and drop objects, using wind power. We planned, discussed and planned some more. Eventually, we had our design and created this amazing wind powered hoist.
Last week, we read a journal information report about Wind Power. We looked at windmills
in Holland and how the Dutch used it in their everyday lives - it was very interesting. We
had to plan and create a working windmill. Our windmill had two gears to grind grain. A
skewer was connected from the windmill to the gears so it can spin at the same time. It also has a long arm, which works like a piston on a car, driving the top and bottom gears.
