Hi students and whanau
Today, we had an amasing visitor to our school - Cam Calkoen. He is such an awesome speaker, telling the kids that nothing in life is impossible - if you want to do it. Cam also told us about his life experiences such as his dad, the dog trainer. The students hung onto every word he had to say. He represented New Zealand in athletics and he was very successful at it. But here is the thing; he sufferers from an illness called Cerebral Palsy. It affects his speech and movement, but you will never say. Cam's confidance and his outlook on life makes him a very positive individual. He was a true inspiration to students and staff.
Before I go, I must share this quote the late Sir Peter Blake said," IF SOMETHING ISN'T DIFFICULT, IT ISN'T WORTH DOING".
